Guidelines for Filing Sexual Harassment Grievance (For Students and Faculty Members)
1. Any student or faculty member who faces sexual harassment may file a grievance with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).
2. Sexual harassment includes unwelcome physical contact, verbal or non-verbal conduct, inappropriate messages, gestures, or behaviour.
3. The complaint should be submitted in writing or by email to the ICC, mentioning the date, place, and details of the incident.
4. Supporting evidence such as messages, emails, or witness details may be attached, if available.
5. The identity of the complainant will be kept strictly confidential, and retaliation will not be tolerated.
6. Complaints should preferably be filed within three months of the incident as per guidelines.
7. In emergency or serious cases, immediately contact Women Helpline 1091 or 181 or approach the local police.
8. The ICC will conduct a fair inquiry and provide an opportunity to be heard to all concerned parties.
9. Appropriate action will be taken as per the POSH Act, 2013 and UGC norms.
10.Filing a false or malicious complaint may attract disciplinary action as per institutional rules.
